In the summer of 2022 I decided to begin building a Laser Cutter from plans I found on a YouTube channel called Further Fabrication. I started this project because I wanted to expand the arsenal of tools at my disposal. I have tried acrylics, water colors and pencil but it never satisfies me in the same way that using machines and hand tools do. I want my art to have functionality beyond looks, whether that be lights, moving gears or something as simple as a cabinet. Its satisfying to use a piece that you created as something more than a wall ornament.
